Job Responsibilities

• Estimation and Cost Analysis
  
• Develop accurate cost estimates for electrical systems and M&E projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  
• Perform quantity take-offs based on project drawings and technical specifications.
  
• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitiveness and reliability.
  
• Conduct feasibility and cost-risk analyses for new tenders.
  
  Tendering and Proposal Preparation
  
• Prepare and submit quotations, tender documents, and technical proposals.
  
• Attend tender briefings, perform site surveys, and gather site-specific data.
  
• Coordinate and contribute to technical clarifications and presentations for clients.
  
  Technical Support and Documentation
  
• Provide technical input and clarification throughout the tendering and execution stages.
  
• Assist in preparing procurement strategies and tender documentation.
  
• Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, tender submissions, and pricing data.
  
  Project Coordination and Collaboration
  
• Work closely with project managers and operations teams to ensure alignment with cost and scope.
  
• Participate in internal coordination meetings to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  
• Monitor and support cost control during project execution.
  
  
• Vendor and Subcontractor Management
  
• Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  
• Ensure that selected partners meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
  
  
• Customer and Internal Stakeholder Engagement
  
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and support business development efforts, especially within non-Japanese sectors.
  
• Verify sales contents, quotations, and PO values to ensure alignment with estimates and client expectations.
  
• Support in CIDB reporting and other compliance-related documentation.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in estimation or cost engineering within Electrical or M&E construction sectors.
  
• Technical Expertise:
  -Proficiency in high-voltage systems (33kV & 11kV), cable sizing, lighting design, and ELV systems (PA, BAS, CCTV, etc.).
  -Strong ability to interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, and specifications.
  
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Malaysian building codes and electrical regulations.
  
• Skills: Analytical thinking, attention to detail, strong communication, and collaboration skills.
  
• Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software/tools is advantageous.
