Japanese Speaking Senior Manager (Ref: 2016)

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate project related procurement activities in the ASEAN region.
• Ensure seamless integration of procurement, logistics and supplier quality Management. 
• Align project timelines with procurement schedules and develop comprehensive project procurement plans. 
• Lead regional supplier negotiations, aligning contract terms and meet project business objective to achieve long term cost saving. 
• Evaluate supplier quotation, mitigate procurement risks through cross-functional assessments and proactive risk management. 
• Develop sourcing strategies , ensure compliance with procurement policies, standards and  best practices. 
• Promote and support sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, and ethical sourcing practices. 
• Provide impact analysis when needed to show the impact of decisions or scenarios to the plan. 
• Inputs to inventory strategy including safety stock settings on existing, new and phase-out products. 

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Business or related field. 
• At least 8 years experience in strategic purchasing, logistic management or project management. 
• Experience working in a project driven environment, preferably in the baggage handling or engineering industry. 
• International exposure and the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands on approach. 
• Proficiency in system and data management ( Excel, SAP, and data analysis) 
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build trust and credibility. 
• Strong communication skills, with fluency in Japanese, English (written and verbal) Chinese & Malay. 
• A proactive, self-driven attitude with a strong focus on results.
