SENIOR SHIPPING EXECUTIVE

Job Responsibilities

• ·         Oversee the activities of the shipping, sales coordinator and warehouse arrangements.
• ·         Provides administrative support to sales staff.
• ·         Coordinate the export/import shipping schedule.
• ·         Oversee the inventory reports (Maintains stock of sales).
• ·         Liaise with forwarders on the air and ocean cargo and inland transportation.
• ·         Issue purchase order, delivery order, shipping documents.
• ·         Liaise with customers and suppliers concerning delivery arrangements.
• ·         Must be well verse in taxes, duty, custom which related to import & export tariff code and try to minimize the expenditures involved.
• ·         Updates the shipping schedule accordingly and arrange for delivery schedule.
• ·         Monitor shipments to ensure customers’ specific requirements are met.
• ·         Interface with our customers through various means to ensure that are in compliance with their prescribed shipping methods and requirements.
• ·         Assist in planning & maintaining a balanced departmental budget.
•   Prepare, evaluate and maintain employee performance reviews and time cards.

Requirements

• ·         Degree / Diploma holder or equivalent qualification in the related field.
• ·         Minimum five (5) years working experience in related field.
• ·         Preferably with some knowledge of shipping documentation.
• ·         Understanding some customer regulations and forwarding terms.
• ·         Able to supervise subordinates.
• ·         Able to work independently.
• Willing to work in KL (accessible to train).
• 5-day working/week (Mon-Fri).
